Hyun-Jin Ryu Headshot

Hyun-Jin Ryu underwent an arthroscopic left elbow debridement Wednesday.

Ryu pitched just 4.2 innings this season and he still clearly isn't healthy. Since the end of the 2014 season, he's thrown just 4.2 innings, which is a real shame because the guy was a reliable starter the two years prior to these injury-riddled campaigns. Hopefully the left elbow debridement can get things going in the right direction for the 29-year-old southpaw.

Chris Coghlan Headshot

Chris Coghlan has left Wednesday's game after crashing into the outfield wall.

He left the contest with an apparent leg injury and was replaced by Albert Almora in left field. He hasn't been useful in fantasy formats this season, but the Cubs would love to have an extra body off the bench in the playoffs. Consider him day-to-day at the moment.

CC Sabathia Headshot

CC Sabathia says he wants to pitch after the 2017 season.

If he does, the Yankees will likely keep him in the rotation, despite him being an average pitcher at best this season. He's 8-12 with a 4.02 ERA on the season, so even if he continues to pitch after next season, he isn't going to be the most desirable fantasy asset.

Kamar Aiken Headshot

Kamar Aiken (thigh) did not practice on Wednesday.

Aiken has caught just three passes in as many games for the team and he is clearly on the lower-end of the totem pole in Baltimore. He isn't even worth rostering in any fantasy format at this juncture. Also, don't pay for him in any DFS site.

King Dunlap Headshot

Chargers head coach Mike McCoy revealed King Dunlap is suffering from migraines.

Migraines are some of the worst battles that the body will fight because little helps them pass. Terrell Davis suffered from them chronically and still managed a fine career, however he may be the exception. Dunlap should end up playing, but not without the fear of a spontaneous flare up.

Corey Kluber Headshot

Indians manager Terry Francona expects Corey Kluber (quad) to be ready for ALDS.

At this point, that's really all that matters for the Indians, as they have the division locked up. The 30-year old pitched to an excellent season (18-9, 3.14 ERA, 227 K's) so he will undoubtedly be the Indians ace in the playoffs, health provided.

Jonathan Anderson Headshot

Bears signed Jonathan Anderson to the practice squad.

Just as Anderson was waived on Tuesday, he was signed to the practice squad on Wednesday. He will hold zero fantasy value and is a long shot to make the roster again.

Patrick Kivlehan Headshot

Patrick Kivlehan was claimed off waivers by the Reds.

This is just a basic housekeeping move for the Reds, as his numbers do not indicate that he will ever amount to much. Consider Kivlehan just a roster filler going forward.

Zack Cozart Headshot

Reds transferred Zack Cozart (knee) to the 60-day disabled list.

With only four days left in the season, Cozart's DL listing means little – especially in terms of fantasy implications. Pay no mind here.

Obum Gwacham Headshot

Saints place DE Obum Gwacham on injured reserve.

In his roster spot, offensive lineman Khalif Barnes will be activated. Gwacham was a special teamer in practice and only a defensive end in name. His presence is totally replaceable.
