Despite the number of teams on bye weeks in Week 7, we've got a bushel full of IDP to choose from to fill up those empty roster slots. Nothing to recommend you drop this week, thank goodney, and of course, the injures just keep piling up.
The Ultimate Start / Sit Tool - Get It Now!
Jameel McClain BAL
Dannell Ellerbe BAL
Bobby Wagner SEA
Perry Riley WAS
Lorenzo Alexander WAS
Jo-Lonn Dunbar StL
O'Brien Schofield ARI
Luke Kuechly CAR
Jerry Hughes IND
Vontaze Burfict CIN
McClain looks to find an increase in PT with Ray Lewis out of the picture. Expect the same thing for Ellerbe, which poses a problem, in that you have to choose who to snag off waivers. Both should provide decent numbers, but like having two top QBs on your roster, the act of making the proper choice week to week is a killer. If Wagner is still on waivers, make your claim now after another stellar performance last night against the 49ers. He is especially valuable in a dynasty set-up. Riley is a steady performer that I have been surprised to find on the wire in my IDP leagues, and I had no hesitation in picking him up, nor should you. Alexander is another Redskin LB that can put up some tasty stats for your team, especially with Orakpo out for the season. Dunbar is a player I promoted late last season and he helped my teams make it into the playoffs with his performance. He is blitzing more in St. Louis, and that makes him even more valuable. I love the Schofield kid, and you should act quick if yo need sacks, with him going up against the Vikings this week. Kuechly is finally showing off what we expected of him when we drafted way back in August, and with him coming off his bye this week, he may be available. Hughes is picking up PT with Robert Mathis out with his injured knee, and he picked up his second sack last week. Burfict is a sleeper pick at LB, but there is no mistaking his potential production from this point forward. Act now to take advantage of his tackle production.
Cliff Avril DE DET
Chandler Jones DE NE
Chris Kelsey DE BUF
Muhammad Wilkerson DE NYJ
Jerry Hughes DE IND
Please note that Avril has a back issue-see the injury list below- and with a Monday night match up, you may want to look elsewhere. Jones' rookie season is playing out well, and his pass rushing abilities are shining through. Kelsey has a good match up against the Titans this week, and you would do well to add him if you have bye week issues at DL. Wilkerson, if he can continue to pick up sacks and/or pass deflections, is an excellent DL, given his steady tackle numbers. Hughes should see playing time with Mathis' knee still acting up, and would be a good bye week plug-in.
Bernard Pollard S BAL
Cary Williams CB BAL
Jimmy Smith CB BAL
Mark Barron S TB
Louis Delmas S DET
Madieu Williams S WAS
Prince Amukamara CB NYJ
Antonio Cromartie CB NYJ
Ryan Clark S PIT
Pollard shouldn't be on your wire, but on the off chance you can grab him, do so, and watch the tackles tally up. With Ladaruis Webb out for the season, expect the Ravens to rely on Williams and Smith to pick up the slack. Both will be on the field plenty and will help your IDP shine in the weeks to come. Barron has been giving his owners PDs, one thing that was not expected of him. Coupled with excellent tackle stats, he deserves a spot on your team. Delmas looked strong in his first game of the year, and it also seems that he is playing at 100%. He has decent hands, as shown by his INT in week 6, and will give you tackles from his strong safety position. Williams is another guy that will please you with his tackling abilities, and he is usually available for pick-up. Amukamara had an excellent Week 6, and I am expecting more good things as the Giants take on Washington in a division match up this week. Cromartie has shown a nose for the ball lately, and if that can continue, expect to rack up some nice INT numbers when all is said and done.
