This crew is really due for a winning week from everyone has no one even mustered a winning record in Week 4.  There are far too many quality football minds in this group to have such bad records through the first 4 weeks.  Jeff Mans once started a season at 19-1 so a hot streak should be coming in the near future.   Let’s take a look at our Week 5 predictions and feel free to attack us on twitter.

Ted Schuster of Fantasy Alarm (@Tedschuster)

Atlanta Falcons -3 @ Washington Redskins

The coaching staff for the Redskins has done a nice job putting RG III in a position to utilize his strengths but the defense for Washington has been a real problem.   Atlanta has been rolling along on offense so that is a big problem for the home team as the Falcons cruise to an easy victory.

Chicago Bears -5.5 @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Chicago has a real problem with their offensive line but the good news for them is that Jacksonville has no sacks by a defensive lineman all season.  Blaine Gabbert has been regressed after a strong Week 1 so this is not much of a contest.

Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals -3

I know Cincinnati does to not look good so far this season but not sure how they are just a FG favorite at home.  Miami has been better than expected but should be a touchdown underdog this week.  Lock of the week is Cincinnati.

Baltimore Ravens -6 @ Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have been horrible all season with their only win over the winless Saints.  Joe Flacco is still a mediocre QB but he does play well against the bad teams.  With 10 days off, Baltimore will rebound from a bad performance and destroy Kansas City.

San Diego Chargers +3.5 @ New Orleans Saints

New Orleans is still searching for a win and takes on a 3-1 Chargers team.  I know Drew Brees is going for a record but he still does not play defense which is the real problem in the Bayou.  San Diego has a great chance to win this straight up.

Michael Stein of Fantasy Judgment (@FantasyJudgment)

Denver Broncos @ New England Patriots -6.5

The Brady vs. Manning rivalry resumes after a year hiatus.  The Patriots exploded last week and showed that they are still one of the most dangerous teams in the league.  I expect more of the same this week but Peyton Manning won’t be able to keep pace.  This should be a high scoring affair but I see New England winning by double digits.  Oh and if you want to see some trash talking between Manning, Brady and other NFL quarterbacks, go to http://profootballmock.com/?p=4810.

Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals -3

This could be an ugly game but the Bengals are more talented and have a decent defense to stop Miami’s putrid offense.  There really isn’t anything witty or exciting to say about this game

San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints -3.5

The Saints can’t drop to 0-5 can they?  Sean Payton will be in attendance and Drew Brees will be breaking Johnny Unitas’ record for most consecutive games with a touchdown.  Brees will take it out on his former team and at least give the Saints a glimmer of hope that they have a chance at the playoffs.

Houston Texans @ New York Jets +7.5

This may be an unconventional pick given how good Houston has been and what a mess the Jets are.  But they were embarrassed last week and will be on national TV on Monday night.  Rex Ryan will do his best to motivate his team and put up a valiant effort.  I think Houston will win but the Jets will keep it closer than they have any right to.

Cleveland +7.5 @ New York Giants

Giants tend to let bad teams stay too close at home.  Not that this is a trap game, but next week’s matchup with the 49ers could mean the Giants are looking ahead.  At 2-2 they should focus on dominating the Browns, but they will be shorthanded once again.  The Giants will pull out the victory but Cleveland will make it interesting until the end.

Jeff Mans of Fantasy Alarm (@jeff_mans)

Green Bay Packers (-6.5) at Indianapolis Colts

This is the easiest game of the weekend.  The Colts are in turmoil without their Head Coach now and aren’t that good to start out with.  There is no way the Packers don’t win by at least a TD.

Seattle Seahawks (-2.5) at Carolina Panthers

The Seahawks win this game straight up so taking the points is as easy as pie.

Cincinnati Bengals (-3) vs. Miami Dolphins

It makes me a little nervous putting any trust in the Bengals but they should be able to hold court at home against the young Dolphins.  All they need to do is stop the phenom known as Brian Hartline!!

New England Patriots (-6) vs. Denver Broncos

It looks like I am going to pick the Patriots every week.  As good as Denver has looked at times this season they have looked equally as bad at others.  This will be a bad week for the Broncos and Peyton Manning who always struggles in New England.

New Orleans Saints (-3) vs. San Diego Chargers

There is absolutely no way on earth that the Saints lost this game.  Their schedule coming up is as tough as it gets and I just cannot see them being 0-5 heading into the bye week.  They win and should cover the 3 pretty darn easy as well.

Drew Phelps of SiriusXM (@djdrew05)

Arizona Cardinals -1.5 @ St. Louis Rams

I know the Cardinals didn't look great early in the game against the Dolphins, but the defense in Miami is very underrated.  I think Kevin Kolb has found a groove and he played great in the 2nd half & overtime to get them that win.  St. Louis beat the Seahawks last week and didn't look good doing it, I'm taking the Cards all the way.

Atlanta Falcons -3 @ Washington Redskins

This game will be a shootout and you can take that to the bank.  The Redskins & Falcons have scored 27 or more people each week so far (I'm counting last week because Cundiff missed 3 FGs) and that won't change this week.  The Redskins secondary will be their downfall as the Falcons put up another 40+ this week

Chicago Bears -6 @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Just when I think the Bears are suspect, they play a game like they did against the Cowboys.  Their defense is for real and if Jay Cutler has time, that offense is hard to stop.  I don't see the Jaguars defense getting the pressure they'll need to put up a fight.

San Diego Chargers +3.5 @ New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans defense has cost them in every game this season and I don't see any signs of that changing this week.  The Chargers will match the Saints step for step on offense and keep this game close.

Houston Texans -9.5 @ New York Jets

I know Ted Schuster isn't a believer but I am.  I took them giving a big number last week and I'm going to do it again especially after what I saw from the Jets last week.  They have lost their best player on both sides of the ball and will not be able to move the ball against the tough Houston defense.  Mark Sanchez is terrible!

Hannah Landrigan- Mineral Area College Cheerleader (@HannahLandrigan)

St. Louis Rams (+2.5) vs. Arizona Cardinals

Two of my favorite places going head to head!  My Dad would kill me if I didn’t take his team so I will go with the Rams.

Green Bay Packers (-6.5) at Indianapolis Colts

Don’t the Colts stink?  They don’t even have Peyton Manning anymore!

Pittsburgh Steelers (-3) vs. Philadelphia Eagles

I know the Steelers are good so why not?

Atlanta Falcons (-3) at Washington Redskins

I hear guys talking about the Atlanta team all the time so I am guessing they are good or have hot cheerleaders or something.  Either way, I’m in!

Houston Texans (-9.5) at New York Jets

Houston hasn’t lost a game so far this season.  Everyone says that the Jets are terrible so this one is easy.

Want to know a little bit more about each participant?  Really?  You do?  Why?  Well, in that case, we profile each competitor.

Ted Schuster is the co-host of the Fantasy Alarm Show on SIRIUS/XM with Jeff Mans.  Always the angriest person in the room and never afraid to say someone sucks.  I am always hating on someone or some team.   Lifelong sports fan that will watch just about every sport around but nothing compares to NFL and College Football which is what you can find me doing each and every weekend during the fall and winter months.

Michael Stein of Fantasy Judgment is the Supreme Court Justice of the Fantasy Football world.  Stein is the man to go to if you have any sort of issue in your fantasy football league. Fantasy Judgment is the site you need if you have a rogue commissioner who is pulling things over on your league, a trade that just seems to be really fishy, or any other kind of shenanigans that can take a good fantasy league and make it turn badly. Not to mention the fine work that he does for us here at Fantasy Alarm.  Stein picks like he has had a lobotomy, so be careful before you put any of your hard earned money on any selections that he makes!

Jeff Mans has played fantasy football for over 20 years and is my partner on The Fantasy Alarm Show.  Jeff’s outside the box thinking has served him well and gained him much attention throughout the fantasy sports industry.  He’s won many championships but few friends in the process.  Although he has a wealth of knowledge and never shuts up, he knows that he’ll need to get through me to win this competition.

Drew Phelps is the Executive Producer of the Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.  Lifelong suffering Washigton DC sports fan and very cynical when it comes to his own teams, but can you blame him?  He has been in handicapping sporting events for over 10 years now but just really hit his stride over the past couple seasons especially in the NFL.

Hannah Landrigan is a Freshman cheerleader at Mineral Area College in Missouri.  She is a legend on Twitter (@hannahlandrigan) mostly for her hot as hell pictures of her under a waterfall but also for her quick wit and social commentary.  Her favorite team in all of sports is the Duke Blue Devils college basketball team.  She is admittedly not a big NFL fan but likes to play rough with the boys and thus is in it to win it.
