Each and every week we here are Fantasyalarm.com will try to get you some of our best plays of the week.  It was a very mediocre week by every team in Week 1 of the NFL.  No one person was able to do much to establish much of a lead as middle of the road was the name of the game.  All of the competitors are looking for a strong Week 2 in our 5 team parlay picks.

Washington Redskins at St Louis Rams +3.5

St Louis had a very strong performance nearly taking out Detroit straight up on the road.  The Lions needed a last minute touchdown to put out the game.  Washington comes in off a road upset the way over hyped RGIII.  I like the Rams to cover the points and possibly win it outright and send Redskins fans back to reality.

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals -7

Brandon Weeden was horrific in his first start but the defense kept them hanging around that game.  Cincinnati was embarrassed in the second half and should respond with a big Week 2.  Green-Ellis will run all over the Browns and take the Bengals to an easy win.

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills -3.5

Buffalo’s new look defense was destroyed last week against the Jets and should return home in angry mood.  While Kansas City is struggling with defensive injuries, they got shredded by the Falcons so both teams are looking for a better game.  The Bills should play much better at home and take this by a touchdown.

Denver Broncos at Atlanta Falcons -3

Manning had a great return last week against the Steelers and now heads out on the road to face the improving Falcons.  Atlanta’s defense has some issues but the offense has been great.  I expect plenty of points to be thrown up but Atlanta is extremely tough at home and takes this one.

Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks +3.5

Every time people start believing in the Cowboys they seem to disappoint and I expect that to continue.  Seattle struggled badly last week on offense but returning home should turn things around.  Seattle is one the hardest places to win on the road so the Seahawks will control this game and win straight up.

The Supreme Court Justice of the Fantasy World had some eye surgery so we will just have the joy of his picks this week while he works on regaining his blind justice.  His witty explanations will be back next week.

New York Jets +5 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Dallas Cowboys  -3.5 @ Seattle Seahawks

New Orleans Saints -2.5 @ Carolina Panthers

Minnesota Vikings  -2.5 @ Indianapolis Colts

Oakland Raiders -2.5 @ Miami Dolphins

Baltimore Ravens (+2.5) at Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles struggled to beat the Browns last week and with two questionable receivers I just don’t like their chances this week against the Ravens.  Plus, Joe Flacco has that eye of the tiger look about him these days and could really prove that he’s changed with a big week against the Eagles. 

New England Patriots (-13.5) Vs. Arizona Cardinals – This is the easiest money of the week.  The Patriots are going to absolutely destroy the QB-less Cardinals.  I will openly weep for Larry Fitzgerald by the end of this game.

Kansas City Chiefs (+3.5) At Buffalo Bills – I will admit that I thought this Bills defense would be better in 2012 but after what I saw last week against a crappy Jets offense, I am no longer sold.  The Chiefs should be able to run at will here and keep the game close if not pull out the upset entirely.  I especially like the hook here and wouldn’t be surprised if it came down to that in the end.

Washington Redskins (-3.5) At St. Louis Rams – This game could be a shutout if the Redskins defense plays the way they did in the first half of week 1.  Robert Griffin III is also one of the greatest QB’s of all time so how could the ‘Skins not win by 20? 

New Orleans Saints (-2.5) At Carolina Panthers – Another easy game to pick when you think about it.  The Saints rarely win games by less than 3 points and even though the offense struggled at times last week they still put up 32 points.  Carolina comes into this game with a depleted offensive line and with two of their best offensive players questionable in Jonathan Stewart and Steve Smith.

Minnesota Vikings @ Indianapolis Colts +3

Luck had a tall task heading into Chicago Week 1, but he’s a player who doesn’t let it affect him and moves on.  Home debut against a suspect defense, I see them winning this game out right.  (Colts 24-21)

New Orleans Saints -2.5 @ Carolina Panthers

Road favorites are not always the best bet but Drew Brees will not let the Saints go down 0-2 to start the season.  This will be a shootout and the Saints take it by a touchdown or more.  (Saints 42-31)

Kansas City Chiefs  +3 @ Buffalo Bills

Call this one a gut feeling but any team that makes Mark Sanchez look like Joe Montana is one I will bet against any day.  This will be a tight one that I think Kansas City wins.  (Chiefs 21-20)

Oakland Raiders -2.5 @ Miami Dolphins

Oakland didn’t look good last week against the Chargers but the Dolphins looked much worse.  Ryan Tannehill is a work in progress and he’s a way off.  McFadden has a field day.  (Raiders 27-14)

Houston Texans -7 @  Jacksonville Jaguars

I’m all in on the Texans this season as long as they continue to stay healthy.  The Jaguars are improved but not enough to stay with Houston and they lose by more than 10.  (Texans 35-17)

Washington Redskins @ St. Louis Rams +3.5 - I live in Missouri so I should be a fan of theirs, lol.

Chicago Bears @ Green bay Packers -3 - My Dad loves them.

Arizona Cardinals @ New England Patriots -13.5 - I am picking them because Tom Brady is super sexy.

New York Jets +5 @ Pittsburgh Steelers - I just have a good feeling about them this week.

Kansas City Chiefs  +3.5 @ Buffalo Bills  - I have been there for different runway shows, pageants & concerts and I just love KC so I hope they win!! 

Want to know a little bit more about each participant?  Really?  You do?  Why?  Well, in that case, we profile each competitor. 

Ted Schuster is the co-host of the Fantasy Alarm Show on SIRIUS/XM with Jeff Mans.  Always the angriest person in the room and never afraid to say someone sucks.  I am always hating on someone or some team.   Lifelong sports fan that will watch just about every sport around but nothing compares to NFL and College Football which is what you can find me doing each and every weekend during the fall and winter months.

Michael Stein of Fantasy Judgment is the Supreme Court Justice of the Fantasy Football world.  Stein is the man to go to if you have any sort of issue in your fantasy football league. Fantasy Judgment is the site you need if you have a rogue commissioner who is pulling things over on your league, a trade that just seems to be really fishy, or any other kind of shenanigans that can take a good fantasy league and make it turn badly. Not to mention the fine work that he does for us here at Fantasy Alarm.  Stein picks like he has had a lobotomy, so be careful before you put any of your hard earned money on any selections that he makes!

Jeff Mans has played fantasy football for over 20 years and is my partner on The Fantasy Alarm Show.  Jeff’s outside the box thinking has served him well and gained him much attention throughout the fantasy sports industry.  He’s won many championships but few friends in the process.  Although he has a wealth of knowledge and never shuts up, he knows that he’ll need to get through me to win this competition. 

Drew Phelps is the Executive Producer of the Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.  Lifelong suffering Washigton DC sports fan and very cynical when it comes to his own teams, but can you blame him?  He has been in handicapping sporting events for over 10 years now but just really hit his stride over the past couple seasons especially in the NFL.

Hannah Landrigan is a Freshman cheerleader at Mineral Area College in Missouri.  She is a legend on Twitter (@hannahlandrigan) mostly for her hot as hell pictures of her under a waterfall but also for her quick wit and social commentary.  Her favorite team in all of sports is the Duke Blue Devils college basketball team.  She is admittedly not a big NFL fan but likes to play rough with the boys and thus is in it to win it.  .
