It is on to Week 14 in the Five Game Parlay as Drew Phelps has closed within a game of the lead in the overall standings.  Jeff Mans is still looking for a late surge while the battle for last heats up between Michael Stein and the beautiful Hannah Landrigan.  There is some ground to be made up by many this week so here are the Week 14 picks.

Ted Schuster of Fantasy Alarm (@Tedschuster)

New York Jets @ Jacksonville Jaguars +2.5

This is my lock of the week.  I am not sure how the Jets are a road favorite at this point against any one.  Love the Jaguars straight up!!!

Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers +3

The Panthers should have won in Atlanta earlier in the season but pissed away that game.  Cam Newton has been really good lately and I think the Carolina defense makes just enough stops on defense to pull off the win.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers -7

No defense in the league has been as bad as the Eagles the last 6 weeks (yes even Oakland).  Tampa Bay should light up the scoreboard.

Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks -10

The Seahawks have been great at home and the Cardinals have lost eight straight games.  Ken Whisenhunt should be fired at this point.  10 is a big number but I will take it.

Houston Texans +3.5 @ New England Patriots

The New England defense is still an issue and I expect the Texans to keep this game at least tight.  Houston may not win but should stay within a FG.

Michael Stein of Fantasy Judgment (@FantasyJudgment)

New Orleans +5.5 @ New York Giants

It is that time of year for the Giants to look like their playoff chances are going down the drain.  Their lead in the NFC East is down to one game over both the Redskins and Cowboys.  This is the kind of game the Giants would typically lose because they haven’t established a true home-field advantage yet at Met Life Stadium and they are going against one of the best QB’s in the league.  Big Blue’s defense is black and blue, and will likely get torched to add insult to injury.  PREDICTION:  New Orleans 34  NY Giants 24

Houston @ New England -3.5

The Texans have been tremendous all season, but they got blown out when they played a really good team in Green Bay earlier this year.  The Patriots are a tough matchup for Houston’s solid defense, and I think Brady and company will find ways to overcome the losses of Gronkowski and Edelman.  PREDICTION:  New England 31  Houston 20

New York Jets -2.5 @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Last week’s Jets vs. Cardinals game was arguably one of the worst in NFL history.  This matchup against Jacksonville could be almost as bad, especially with the Jaguars completely banged up at running back.  The Jets defense should be able to shut them down and hold onto an ugly win.  PREDICTION:  NY Jets 16  Jacksonville 10

Dallas Cowboys +3 @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Cowboys have been their typical up and down all season, and now they find themselves only a game out of first place.  The Bengals are fighting for their playoff lives as well, but with DeMarco Murray back in the fold I think Dallas should be able to pull off the upset in Cincinnati.  Plus, it may still be a little too early for Tony Romo’s vintage f***up to cost them a critical game.  PREDICTION:  Dallas 30  Cincinnati 24

San Diego Chargers @ Pittsburgh Steelers -7

Big Ben is back this weekend against the awful Chargers.  The Steelers are a completely different team when he is on the field, so look for Mike Wallace and the other receivers to be a much bigger part of the offense.  San Diego has nothing to play for and is bracing themselves for a major overhaul in the coming months.  Look for Pittsburgh to continue to solidify its position as one of the AFC wild cards.  PREDICTION:  Pittsburgh 27  San Diego 14

Jeff Mans of Fantasy Alarm (@jeff_mans)

Miami Dolphins @ San Francisco 49ers -10.5

It seems crazy to even write that the 49ers will outscore an opponent by 10 points but I have absolutely no faith in the Dolphins.

Chicago Bears -2.5 @ Minnesota Vikings

I know the Bears are without Brian Urlacher this week but there is no reason on God’s Green Earth that they shouldn’t win this game by at least a field goal.

Atlanta Falcons -3 @ Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are talking a lot of smack heading into this game but the fact remains that they lost to Kansas City last week.  I don’t care if they play this game in Cam Newton’s Mother’s womb, there is no advantage for the Panthers here.

Baltimore Ravens @ Washington Redskins -2.5

I can’t believe that I’m picking this game but it’s one that I feel strongly about.  The Redskins are going to beat the Ravens, it just makes sense.  So, the only real question here is by how much?  I’m betting that the Redskins can clear it by at least a field goal this week.

Houston Texans @ New England Patriots -3.5

Bill Belichick will want to make a statement in this game so not only will the Pats win but win by a large margin.  The Texans need to get their defense back to health and stop getting burned by the big plays.

Drew Phelps of SiriusXM (@djdrew05)

Kansas City Chiefs  +7 @ Cleveland Browns

The Browns are the better team but they are not 7 points better than the Chiefs.  Brady Quinn gives the Chiefs some stability and consistent play at the QB position.  I’ll take those points.

New York Jets @ Jacksonville +2.5

I love the Jags at home getting points against the hapless Jets.  The Jags have played much better with Henne at the helm and the Jets have the worst quarterback in the league still as their starter.  I’ll take those points any day.

Miami Dolphins +10.5 @ San Francisco 49ers

I really like the Dolphins getting all these points especially with how they played Seattle last week.  Miami’s defense had a couple down weeks but they can give Kaepernick problems.

New Orleans Saints +5 @ New York Giants

The Saints are on the ropes with little to no hope.  I like Drew Brees backed against a wall and Eli Manning picks and chooses when he likes to play good.

Houston Texans @ New England Patriots -3.5

I really don’t like the Texans down the stretch of the season.  Arian Foster has looked below average the past few weeks and Andre Johnson has disappeared again.  I like Tom Brady all over the Texans on Monday Night

Hannah Landrigan- Mineral Area College Cheerleader (@HannahLandrigan)

Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers -6

San Diego Chargers +7 @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Philadelphia Eagles +7 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

St. Louis +3.5 @ Buffalo Bills

Houston +3.5 @ New England Patriots

Want to know a little bit more about each participant?  Really?  You do?  Why?  Well, in that case, we profile each competitor.

Ted Schuster is the co-host of the Fantasy Alarm Show on SIRIUS/XM with Jeff Mans.  Always the angriest person in the room and never afraid to say someone sucks.  I am always hating on someone or some team.   Lifelong sports fan that will watch just about every sport around but nothing compares to NFL and College Football which is what you can find me doing each and every weekend during the fall and winter months.

Michael Stein of Fantasy Judgment is the Supreme Court Justice of the Fantasy Football world.  Stein is the man to go to if you have any sort of issue in your fantasy football league. Fantasy Judgment is the site you need if you have a rogue commissioner who is pulling things over on your league, a trade that just seems to be really fishy, or any other kind of shenanigans that can take a good fantasy league and make it turn badly. Not to mention the fine work that he does for us here at Fantasy Alarm.  Stein picks like he has had a lobotomy, so be careful before you put any of your hard earned money on any selections that he makes!

Jeff Mans has played fantasy football for over 20 years and is my partner on The Fantasy Alarm Show.  Jeff’s outside the box thinking has served him well and gained him much attention throughout the fantasy sports industry.  He’s won many championships but few friends in the process.  Although he has a wealth of knowledge and never shuts up, he knows that he’ll need to get through me to win this competition.

Drew Phelps is the Executive Producer of the Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.  Lifelong suffering Washigton DC sports fan and very cynical when it comes to his own teams, but can you blame him?  He has been in handicapping sporting events for over 10 years now but just really hit his stride over the past couple seasons especially in the NFL.

Hannah Landrigan is a Freshman cheerleader at Mineral Area College in Missouri.  She is a legend on Twitter (@hannahlandrigan) mostly for her hot as hell pictures of her under a waterfall but also for her quick wit and social commentary.  Her favorite team in all of sports is the Duke Blue Devils college basketball team.  She is admittedly not a big NFL fan but likes to play rough with the boys and thus is in it to win it.
