Another Sunday is in the books. It is hard to believe that we are already 5 weeks into the fantasy season and yet there is still so much we haven’t learned. Such as which is the real Chris Johnson? Who is the starting RB in San Diego? Is Cam Newton having a sophomore slump or not? So many questions are still left unanswered after another action packed day of football. As always I sat in front of my wall of T.V.’s and watched every last second of these games and took notes throughout. Here is my week 5 roundup:

Notes |
After the 2012 NFL Draft I said that Kirk Cousins was a better pure passer than RGIII and I stand by that now. |
Anybody who doesn’t think that size matters at WR did not watch Julio Jones dominate this game. |
Alfred Morris is approaching RB1 status but I still don’t trust Mike Shanahan enough to anoint him. |
Michael Turner is the perfect weapon for the Falcons offense to use to put the game away. |

Browns got off to a hot start but defensively just couldn’t keep up with the Giants offense. |
Ahmad Bradshaw made up for early fumble that lead to Browns first TD. |
Josh Gordon is a guy who’s raw but getting better each week. Should be owned in most 12 team leagues. |
As long as Hakeem Nicks is out, Domenik Hixon is the guy to own on the Giants. |

Neither one of these teams is very good but both stay around long enough to survive week to week. |
Michael Vick is playing as bad as any QB in the league this year. He lost 2 fumbles in this game. |
RaShard Mendenhall looked fresh and strong in this game and could be a huge asset the rest of the year. |
The Mendenhall TD “run” was really a reception that was technically behind the line of scrimmage. |

Far this season but they Panthers are off next week. |
For all the talk about how the Seahawks love Russell Wilson they still only let him throw 25 times today. |

The announcers actually said during that game that they felt like Newton may have a personal issue with Greg Olsen and that was why he wasn’t looking at him whatsoever today. |

The Bills wasted all of that money they spent to help their defense as it is worse than last year now. |

Colin Kaepernick is getting significant time as the wild cat QB lately & he scored on a 16 yard run today. |

Ryan Mathews established himself as the lead RB in the Chargers offense with his performance tonight. |

Don’t put too much into Meachem. He was facing his former team tonight and had extra motivation. |

Mark Ingram should be dropped in most fantasy formats at this time. |
