I get a kick out of all the folks in the fantasy sports industry who go absolutely berserk over making a right decision one week into the season. My best advice to anyone is be wary over the ones who beat their chest the most over one or more of their predictions. In my experience those are the ones who are overcompensating for a lot of very bad advice and trying to pretend like one good call outweighs all of the bad. Well it doesn’t work that way and most importantly we don’t work that way. Fantasy Alarm is about advising our readers/listeners/subscribers how to win championships. You won’t hear too much about the fact that we were advocating that Adrian Peterson would be ready for the start of the season as far back as June. You won’t hear about us telling everyone to watch out for Russell Wilson this summer. Nor will you hear about our week 1 predictions of Tony Romo, Sidney Rice or Stevan Ridley. All we do is win and guide our people to championships. That journey continues this week with our official Week #2 Rankings:

There are few matchups that should alter the value of elite RB’s. Sure the 49ers defense presents problems for certain guys but if you are considering sitting Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice or other elite players on any given week you need to be checked for mental illness. The biggest decisions you’ll make during the course of the year is when to start those fringe guys like BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Beanie Wells. This week presents some great opportunities for players like C.J. Spiller and Reggie Bush which make them worthy starting options. Here are my complete RB rankings for week #2:

On a week to week basis no position fluctuates like the WR position. Matchups are a big part of why certain players have big games and others flounder. That being said, please leave the elite guys like Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson alone. They are every week starters no matter what the matchup. Here are the receivers on my best of list for week 2:

Do you realize that if Rob Gronkowski has as good of a week the rest of the season as he did in week 1 (6-60, 1 TD) he still won’t top his numbers from last year? If you were disappointed with those numbers than your expectations were way too high coming into the season. Personally, I am excited to see some new blood among the TE leader board this year and I believe that begins this week. Here are my week 1 TE rankings:
