I hope you were able to take advantage of Manny Machado's surprise call up last week and he is now safely on your roster. Obviously, it is now too late to get Machado, but you just happen to be in luck. Texas appears on the verge of calling up sensation Jurickson Profar, arguably an even bigger prospect that Machado. We have a pair of starting pitchers this week, two Colorado Rockies worthy of a look and the closer of the week.

Brett Anderson SP Oakland- After a 60-day stint on the disabled list with elbow problems, Anderson appears on rehab start away from returning to the A's. Anderson, who underwent Tommy John surgery last July, has four rehab starts under his belt with an ERA of 3.93. With a career ERA of 3.66, Anderson should be on your short list.
Jurickson Profar SS Texas- Will Profar make the jump from Double-A as Machado did a week ago? The Rangers are operating with only three bench players, with Michael Young the only backup infielder. Profar is the Rangers top prospect and among the top five in all of baseball. Profar has 13 home runs, 60 RBI, 15 steals and a .283 average in 110 games. If you are allowed to stash a minor leaguer, do it now, otherwise watch the transactions and grab him when he gets called up.
Dale Thayer RP San Diego- Houston Street is on the disabled list and Thayer appears to be settling in as San Diego's temporary closer. Thayer closed out the Braves on Monday night on ten pitches for his sixth save of the season, his first since Street was disabled. The 31-year-old Thayer is 2-2 on the season with a 3.51 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP.
DJ LeMahieu 2B Colorado- LeMahieu is quickly emerging as an option at either 2B or 3B with eleven hits over his past five games, including four on Monday night. LeMahieu has homered and drove in five runs in the mini streak. On the season, LeMahieu has the one home run, eight RBI and a stolen base, while hitting .302 over 86 at bats.
Alex Cobb SP Tampa Bay- Cobb has been lights out over his past four starts, covering the past two weeks. Cobb has allowed just six earned runs in four starts, each lasting seven innings. Cobb has a 21/3 strikeout to walk ratio and has allowed only 21 hits over the 28 innings of work.
Eric Young OF Colorado- Young has been absolutely raking over the past ten days, with seven multi-hit games in eight starts. Young has an amazing 22 hits in 37 at bats since taking over a starting role on the fourth of August. On the season, Young has two home runs, 11 RBI and 13 stolen bases, while hitting .309 in 152 at bats.
