DFS Lineup Construction Thoughts

Make sure you don't overlook our impressive selection of 3 games, showcasing top-notch players in advantageous matchups. While you can't resist the likes of Nathan MacKinnon and David Pastrnak, there are also incredible value options worth considering.

Goalies play a vital role in determining our lineups, so make your choices wisely. Whether you decide to go for a high-end goalie or a more affordable one, keep in mind that goalies can be quite unpredictable.

Recommended DFS Starting Goalies

Best Odds For A Win

NHL DFS Lineups: Best Goalies To Use

Frederik Andersen, G, Carolina Hurricanes

The Carolina Hurricanes let the last game slip away from them, but they won’t let that happen a second time. They are by far the better team in this series, and I expect them to put on a show tonight. Frederik Anderen probably won’t see a ton of shots, but he has the best chance of picking up a win.

Jeremy Swayman, G, Boston Bruins

Jeremy Swayman has a 1.34 GAA and a .956 SV%. He has been nothing short of brilliant in this series and the Leafs just can’t solve him. There’s a chance Toronto may be without Auston Matthews so that just makes his matchup even better. There’s no reason to not trust him tonight.

Alexandar Georgiev, G, Colorado Avalanche

Say what you want about Alexandar Georgiev, but the man has been excellent since giving up seven goals in Game 1. He has allowed just five in three games and is getting a ton of goal support. The Jets are going to get their chances tonight, but in the end, Colorado will win the game. This is a risky play, but one that could help you take down a GPP.

Arturs Silovs, G, Vancouver Canucks

Arturs Silovs was really good in his playoff debut and deserves another start if Casey DeSmith can’t go. Vancouver isn’t playing well, but here they are, up 3-1 with a chance to close things out. Silovs is going to see a healthy amount of rubber, so there’s a chance he flirts with the save bonus.

Recommended DFS Skaters

Highest Expected Goal Totals

NHL DFS Lineups: Best Skaters To Use

Nathan MacKinnon, C, Colorado Avalanche

I know it’s hard to justify paying $10,200 for a forward tonight, but it’s Nathan MacKinnon and you know he’s worth it. He has seven points in four games and is still seeing a ton of ice. He needs multiple points to hit value and a ton of shots, but considering how bad the Jets have been, it’s not an impossible task.

John Tavares, C, Toronto Maple Leafs

If Auston Matthews can’t play, John Tavares becomes an option. He has one point in this series, but I expect the Leafs to load up their top line, especially if they fall behind. Tavares is going to see a ton of ice, so he’s a volume play. At his $5900 price tag, I’ll take the risk.

Valeri Nichushkin, W, Colorado Avalanche

If you don’t want to pay up for MacKinnon, you can save a ton of salary by going with Valeri Nichushkin. He has six goals in this series, including three last game. He has been all over the ice and is red hot. The Jets can’t slow Colorado’s offence down and I doubt they start tonight. Nichushkin will be in every lineup I build tonight.

Brad Marchand, W, Boston Bruins

I have no problem with David Pastrnak tonight, but I’m going to pay down and go with Brad Marchand. The Bruins captain has eight points this series and continues to be one of the best players in this series. Not sure how he’s only $5900 tonight, but we will take it and run.

Charlie McAvoy, D, Boston Bruins

I have had Charlie McAvoy in the playbook a lot recently and that’s not changing tonight. We know he can do great things offensively, but I also like the fact that he can block shots. His floor is very high and we get him at $5200 tonight. That is value I can’t pass up on.

Cale Makar, D, Colorado Avalanche

The floor with Cale Makar is just so high. It’s so fun to watch his skate and make opposing teams look terrible. He’s seeing a ton of ice time and that won’t change tonight. Even if Winnipeg does push back, they won’t be able to stop Makar. He has eight points in four games and will certainly add a few more to his total before the end of the night.
